MRS. ROSE OKWANY OGINGA was recently honored and humbled to achieve the United Nation Human Rights Florida Chapter, Mashujaa Award Certificate.
This International Women’s Day, March 8, 2020, Tujipange Africa Media, US, honors her for her empathy towards fellow women and her achievements in empowering women and orphans through Education.
Without her unreserved dedication and sacrifices hundreds of widows and orphans through the IHOPEE program, would have lost hope, given up on life and many children would have never set foot in school again. IHOPEE stands for International Health Operations, Education Empowerment. Rose Oginga is currently Founder/CEO of IHOPEE. President and Director of Medical Mission is Dr. Pauline Kibisu.
“I grew up in both worlds of challenges. As a girl, my age mates were not allowed to go to school. My Dad believed in me and gave each of us a family of 16 siblings equal opportunity to further their education,” she told Tujipange Africa Media in an interview. Rose Oginga became a teacher by profession and taught languages for over 15 years at all levels.

Rose Oginga recalls her endearing relationship with her mother with deep nostalgia.
“My mom was a pillar of the family a good homemaker. I’m blessed to have my husband and my four children who have been my support system. Thank you!”
Rose Oginga is grateful to her father for believing in her and giving her an opportunity to excel despite financial and cultural challenges.
“As a peasant farmer, my dad valued school, having dropped out of school himself, because of lack of school fees at 9th grade. His belief in me gave me the leadership qualities that allow me to collaborate with many in my community.”
Rose Oginga believes in the mantra that ‘as one person you can run fast but as a community you ran far’. This is why she founded IHOPEE (International Health Operations Patient Education and Empowerment.) with other co-founders and a great team behind her.

“As a servant leader, I am humbled to serve humanity, to give opportunity to all who deserve a second chance – Youth and Women.” Rose Oginga believes in holistic engagement and provides lifes kills to students who are no longer in school, with the intention of helping them be productive in the community.
“I am a member of the Kenya North America Diaspora SACCO (KNADS) Investment Committee. I am humbled by the awards bestowed to me and consider it a great privilege to serve in several leadership teams or the supervisory committee,” Says an elated Rose Oginga.
Rose Oginga joined KNADS and other empowerment groups whose mission and vision resonated with the goals she envisions for women and families to thrive. She is passionate about empowering women; and how best than through an investment and microfinance as stipulated in IHOPEE?
Women and youth empowerment are dear to her heart, given that her mother belonged to Table Banking groups that enabled her to educate all her children and fed them.

Rose Oginga belongs to many women empowerment organizations. She worked in middle and high schools in Kenya before moving to the US. She and her diverse IHOPEE team have engineered on a major library project whose bigger picture was a great success with 15 schools getting books and friends and well wishers making it happen.
“Youth and women have been my greatest focus,” she says.
Rose Oginga serves on several nonprofits and is currently the President of Academic excellence, youth and women empowerment (IHOPEE). IHOPEE Offering services to refugee and creating healthy awareness and mentoring.to the community. She is a member of Rotary Club in Florida Currently collaborating with Changing Flames to bring all African nations to showcase their business, skills services and networking in 2019 Tampa Bay convention.

A native of Kenya, Rose Oginga advocates for Education to alleviate poverty in the society. She no doubt, exemplifies this through her commitment and love for education Nothing is dearer to her heart. She completed her Associate in Nursing, Bachelor of Education, Master of Science in Leadership – coaching and mentoring. She glows in her Toastmaster International Competency training in Public Speaking and Coaching.
Her 5-year vision for IHOPEE is ensuring that it stays the stellar Icon as a nonprofit representing the face of hard working youth and women, providing microfinance for women that goes above and beyond to provide excellent services to Diaspora women’s and leadership excellence internationally, to women beyond my using current continuous quality improvement processes.
“Invest in a woman and the whole village is sure to gain the successes. My goal is to serve the members and families thrive in every aspect of their lives just like they are my mother, sister; there is nothing better and more fulfilling than that.” Rose Oginga, enthuses.
